How to Prepare for an Earthquake
| Many areas have Earthquakes. In the past week we have had 6 Earthquakes where I live, not aftershocks, but earthquakes. A few of them were scary even though I have lived with them all my life in California. The San Francisco area had one recently also. These are just the ones that I know of. What if an Earthquake happened in your town, would you be prepared?How do you prepare for an Earthquake? What can you do to help prepare your home and your family if an Earthquake struck? What basic items do you need in case of major damage?
Living on the San Andreas Fault in Southern California I know that one of these days the “Big One” will come, and being prepared is important to my mental health, especially after this week. FREE Veterans Workshop in Riverside County

There will be a Free Veterans and Family Workshop on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Beaumont Civic Center 550 E. 6th St., Beaumont, CA.

Christmas around the World my memories

This brought a laugh when I first saw it. We were at a little Western Town in the hills outside of Las Vegas, just one of the many places I have been to at Christmas time. Las Vegas, Hawaii, or different countries, I enjoy seeing other customs, or traditions of Christmas around the World.

Mortgage Loans are taking longer to fund
| Customer satisfaction with lenders declines Overall satisfaction among mortgage customers declined 18 index points to 739 in 2009 from 757 in 2008, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Primary Mortgage Origination Satisfaction StudySM.
The average time required to approve and close a loan increased to nearly 47 days in 2009, compared with approximately 30 days in 2008, primarily due to increased scrutiny of loan applications and higher origination volumes driven by increases in refinancing, according to the study.
