Dinosaurs in Cabazon…Review of new “Attraction”

Along the I-10 Freeway in Cabazon you can see the Big Dinosaur that used to be all by itself right off the Freeway.  You may have passed it, or seen it in the Movies.  For years we would take people to see the Dinosaurs, and I loved the little store inside the one Dinosaur…they had a good collection of rocks and gems.

On Memorial Weekend of this year a new attraction went in. One day I noticed a large wooden fence at the base of the 2nd Dinosaur.  That wasn’t here before….so I went to look.  (more…)

The 4 Hats of the 4 US Military Branches

To be a soldier is to be selfless and giving ~

This act alone is the definition of a hero, yet the soldier is mostly not thought of, spoken of or admired for their sacrifice and honor.  Sure we remember them when it is a phase, or a ribbon is called for or on a holiday where we stand up before our favorite past time event and scream “Thank you” and “We love you”.

Is this a dream?  It must be as the sentiments fade away as fast as a dream.  Is this a fad?  Or is this a sad fact that the soldier is a moment in time when we decide to make that time and only when it is convenient for us. (more…)

Hiking in Torrey Pines, CA

Torrey Pines is in San Diego County, CA.

Most people probably think of Torrey Pines as the place where Tiger Woods plays golf.  But did you know that it is a beautiful reserve?  There are several variations of pine trees, and  California Chaparral.  The area is popular for hiking.

If you have an Annual California Parks parking pass you don’t need to pay to get into the park, otherwise you do. (more…)
